Dear Praying Friends,
Merry Christmas!!! We hope that you all have a wonderful time celebrating God becoming a man.  Christians worship the God who left heaven, not because we impressed Him with our spectacular worship, but because we offended Him with our devastatingly evil sins.  Jesus left heaven to rescue us from our sin. Sin has kept us from fellowship with Him and from spending eternity with Him.  If you are reading this blog and have not received Jesus free gift of salvation, please take the greatest gift you'll ever receive by repenting and calling on Jesus to save you today!
Just as you have probably been very busy over this preparation time, so have we.  There have been several church events and many visitors that have been in attendance.  Please pray that the gospel will take root in hearts.  May God bless you all with a wonderful time this Christmas!

Dear Praying Friends,
Time has slipped by since the last update.  It has been a busy but blessed couple of months since the last post.  First we praise the Lord for our 14th wedding anniversary celebrated in September.  In that period of time God has blessed us with three wonderful children and taken us half-way around the world to serve Him at Grace Baptist Church.  He has also blessed us with you, those who've been reading this blog and praying for us!
In October we celebrated another anniversary, Grace Baptist Churches' anniversary.  The Lord has blessed Grace with another year of serving Him in the Watsonia community.  We had a wonderful service and a delicious lunch afterward.
Finally, the Lord blessed us with a good Creation Ministries night.  Dr. Don Batten spoke on Creation and Science.  It was a time for believers to have their faith strengthened and their minds equipped with the truth.  Our prayer is that the Lord would bless the witness of the people of Grace as they share these truths with their loved ones and friends.

Dear Praying Friends,
"Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost." This verse in Romans 15:13 has been an extra special blessing to my heart in the past month.  The world today seems to be changing at a rapid pace.  I find hope in the fact of our Lord's soon return.  Let's be about His work while there's still time.
Grace Baptist Church has been blessed in so many ways.  Just two weeks ago the Lord brought 70 people to our Sunday morning service!  There were so many people we needed to bring out more chairs.  In dark times, the Lord is still saving souls and building His church!
We have a few events on the horizon that we would ask you to pray with us about.  On Sunday, October 22 we will host a Creation Night with Creation Ministries.  There are already visitors who have committed to come for that night.  Pray the gospel goes out with the Lord's power.  Also, we are planning a Carols by Candlelight for December 17th.  It's still a ways away, but that just gives us more time to pray!
