Praying Friends,
Since my last post, the Lord has been ironing out some of the problems that we have had.  The gentleman that I spoke with from Washington DC sent me an email with two links.  One link was a formal enquiry form, the other was a form to remove my legal assistance from my application.  I have waited on the enquiry form because of the information that the gentleman told me about the length of time it is taking these visas to be approved.  The other form I have been praying about.  Should I remove my legal assistance all together.
For those who may not know we have had some problems recently with our lawyer leaving the company and going elsewhere.  The company had not dealt with the departure and the lawyers assistant was of no help when it came to information.  Recently I have sent many emails to the legal office with no response until yesterday.  There is now another person assigned to our file there at the legal office, and this new individual emailed me.  She said that our lawyer that left will still be supervising our application and that as of right now they have not received any questions from immigration about our application.  She said that any questions that may come in will be directed to Andrew, our lawyer that left, and he would still be helping.
This may not sound like much, but it is a big relief for me.  At one point I had three different options of what to do with my legal assistance on our application and I really did not know which one was best.  I prayed that God would solve this issue, and He has.  God is so good!
Now we still wait to hear from the Australian immigration office.  Please pray with us that we would be approved for our visas before Christmas so that we could leave in January of next year.  Thank you so much for your prayer support, may God bless you.

Dear Praying Friends,
Thank you so much for your faithfulness in prayer on our behalf.  God is answering!  Today I spoke with a man from the Australian immigration office in Washington DC.  He answered many of my questions that our lawyer could not answer.
First was the fact that I was allowed to communicate with them.  The lawyer's office told me that I was not to communicate with the immigration office because I had hired a lawyer to represent me.  Also, they told me that I would anger the immigration workers and that would cause a slow down on my application.  I was told that none of that was true, and I can check in any time on my application.
Second, I was told by the lawyer's office that they did not and could not know how long it would take for the visa application to go through.  The gentleman I spoke with said that the visa I applied for was taking between 5 to 8 months to be processed.  Our application was lodged on July 5 or 6 of this year, so we could have our visa by Christmas time at the earliest.
This is such great news!  Now we at least know what is going on.  I did not know what to believe with our lawyers and now I know that our application has been applied for and it is being processed.  The next thing that the gentleman at the office asked was if I wanted to "cut out the middle man" and I emphatically said YES.  He will be communicating with me early next week with more details of our application.
Please pray that all goes well with the application.  Pray that our application would be complete and that we would not have any snags.  Thank you so much for checking up on this process by reading this blog.  May God bless you!
