Dear Praying Friends,
William Carey asked his supporters to "hold the ropes" for him while he obeyed the call to go to India.  The Lord has been teaching me the sacrifice of those who hold the ropes for us.  We have been encouraged by supporting churches and how people are praying for the work in Australia.  The sacrifice has been evident even by families choosing to miss watching their favorite team play in the playoffs, so that they can take us out to lunch after a morning service.  We thank God for you all and the support for this ministry, thank you!
It was an extra special time being able to see family for the holidays.  The food was great and, of course, the fellowship was memorable.  Now we look forward to finishing our report ministry.  Please pray that the Lord would continue to protect as we travel during the winter months.
Thank you for taking the time to read this update.  May God bless you!

In Christ,

Dear Praying Friends,
"Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift." (2 Cor. 9:15) This verse sums up the month of November and the coming month of December.  We celebrated Thanksgiving last month, giving praise to the Lord for all He is and all He's blessed us with.  The greatest of which we celebrate this month, the giving of an indescribable gift, Jesus Christ.  It was wonderful being in the States to celebrate Thanksgiving and we are all looking forward to Christmas.
Last month we had the privilege to share the ministry of Australia with six churches.  We traveled in Wisconsin, Indiana, and our own state of Illinois.  At the end of the month we had the blessing of being able to fly to Montana to visit my parents.  We celebrated Thanksgiving with them and a few other relatives that I hadn't seen for years.
While in Montana the kids were able to see their first snow of the year.  They were sooo excited!  I haven't been hit by so many snowballs in all my life.  It was so much fun!  Montana is a beautiful state.  We walked many trails and took many pictures.  After hiking one trail we were told that three bears had been spotted there on that same weekend!!!  I guess that's life in Montana.
This month is a bit slower with only two meetings on the schedule.  Please keep praying for the church in Australia, Grace Baptist, and those that are filling in for us, Don and Lola Winans.  Thank you for your prayers for us and for taking that time to read this update.

So thankful for those who support the ministry to Australia.

A nice family shot next to an ice cold Montana stream.

It was great seeing my Dad and Mom for Thanksgiving.

Dear Praying Friends,
It has been a month of answered prayer!  First we want to praise the Lord for His faithful love and grace that He pours out on us every day.  Also we thank the Lord for another month of safe travel.
The Lord has used this time to bring us into contact with other missionaries heading to Australia.  These contacts are so precious and encouraging, truly an a praise to hear!  Also, we have been praying for more help on the field, and just last night a young lady said she feels the Lord wants her to take a short term trip to help us this summer!
The final answer to prayer has come in the form of luggage.  One piece of luggage was lost on our flights home (3 months ago), and just last week it was returned to us!  The Lord is good all the time!!
Thank you for your prayers for us and for taking the time to read this update.
