Dear Praying Friends,
The Lord has been blessing in many ways here at Grace Baptist Church!  Two weeks ago a man accepted Christ as Savior, a couple has approached us concerning membership, and the small groups are off to a good start!
This past month has been a busy one.  We started with a special visit from our new field administrators, Matt and Marla Hanna.  They are missionaries with BMM in Taiwan, but have also taken on the ministry of administrator for our region.  It was a blessing to get to know them while taking them around the sites of Melbourne.
The busyness continues as I am meeting with multiple people weekly for discipleship.  It has been such a blessing to have several people express interest in joining the church, so much so, that we are planning on starting a membership class soon.  All of these are GOOD problems to have!
Please pray for the work to continue to move forward at Grace.  We appreciate you taking the time to read this update.  May God bless you all.

In Christ,

Dear Praying Friends,
It's hard to believe that we have already been back in Australia for two months!  The time is flying by rapidly.  Since our last post we have said goodbye to Don and Lola Winans.  (They will be dearly missed.)  We celebrated Mother's Day at Grace with a wonderful presentation from the young people, and we are currently starting small groups to minister more effectively to believers.  One opportunity the Lord has allowed was taking a basket of treats from the people of Grace to community servants.  When I brought the basket to our local fire brigade, they invited me in for a cup of tea!  What a privilege to share some time with these servants.  Please pray that this small gesture of Christ's love will move their hearts to be interested for more.
Thank you for your prayers for us and the people of Grace Baptist Church.  May God bless you for taking the time to read this update.

In Christ,
Mark Pitts and Family

Marshall and the rest of the young people were a blessing in the Mother's Day service.

How great to sing praises together to our Lord!

The Young Adult fellowship taught me new rules to UNO.
Apparently you can play +4 cards on each other.  Someone ended up with a heap of cards!

Here are the 'biscuit baskets'.  Thank you to all the people at Grace who helped!

Dear Praying Friends,
We are back in Australia!  There has been many events between now and the last time I was able to update the blog, so I will try to fill you in on all the details.  We finished our furlough, shipped our crate, said our goodbyes, hopped on several planes, arrived safely in Australia, said our hellos, and started back into the work the Lord has supplied here in Melbourne.  Whew!
There is much work to do here, but we want to say a big THANK YOU to Don and Lola Winans.  They have filled in for us while we were away on furlough.  Also, they have cared for our house while we were away.  God has blessed the work they have done and the church has grown.  We praise the Lord for these two faithful servants.
Please pray for us as we continue to readjust to being back in Australia.  Thank you for your prayers and for taking the time to read this update.

In Christ,
Mark Pitts and Family
