Dear Praying Friends,
This month has been an extra special month. We have had a couple special visitors with us. Sara's mom and sister have been with us for the month of June. It was a surprise to Sara as she did not know that her sister would be visiting. Having visitors allows us to take some time and visit places around our great state of Victoria. Jesus taught His disciples to take a rest from ministry in Mark 6:31 "And he said unto them, Come ye yourselves apart into a desert place, and rest a while:" I have quickly found that in ministry there is no end to ministry! There is always something more we could be doing, so it is good to take the time and have a break to recharge.
The recharging has been sprinkled in between ministry this month. Sara took the ladies of Grace to a local restaurant for the annual Ladies Day Out. It was a great time for the women to get together in fellowship and have some good food too. There were several ladies in attendance and I've heard from a couple how encouraging it was.
This month we have been without our deacon, Joel. He has taken a special trip to the Philippines to be with his "home church" where he and his family came from. The pastor of this church died suddenly. Joel mentored him as a young man, so the loss was felt all the way down here in Melbourne. If you can remember, please pray for Joel and this church in the Philippines as they try to recover and move forward with ministry.
I want to thank you for taking the time to read this update. Your prayers are invaluable. Please keep praying for the Lord to work in the hearts of the people at Grace Baptist Church in Watsonia, Victoria. God bless you all!
In Christ,
Mark Pitts and Family
