The last few weeks have been an exciting roller coaster of events. We had our last service at Grace on Sunday, 24th of July. There was a joint farewell service for us and a welcome service for the Winans. It is a blessing to have Don and Lola Winans fill in for us while we are on report ministry. We were humbled by the love shown by the people of Grace. Thank you to all the people of Grace Baptist Church for your kindness to us, we thank God for you all and will miss you dearly.
On Tuesday the 26th of July we boarded a plane for the States. Our flights went well and there were no major troubles other than a lost piece of luggage. When we were walking out of security at the Champaign airport in Illinois, we noticed a heap of people waiting. Then we started to recognize some of the faces of those waiting. It turns out over 40 people from our sending church, First Baptist in Danville, were there to welcome us back! Another very humbling experience. Thank you to all who made it out to give us such a warm welcome.
Now we are settling in here in Catlin, Illinois. God has been so good to us. We thank Him for bringing us back safely and for giving us the privilege of reconnecting with our sending church. We look forward to reconnecting with our supporters over the next eight months. Please pray for us as we prepare for the travel and that the Lord would use this time to mold us and work through us.
Thank you for taking the time to read this update. May God bless you!
